Year 7 will present 3 tales from 'Beasts and Beauties' by Carol Ann Duffy, a reimagining of fairytales from across Europe, told with modern language and dark humour. The students will perform 'The Juniper Tree', 'Kari and the North Wind' and 'Bluebeard' in the first act.
Year 9 will perform 'Tuesday' by Alison Carr. A funny and poignant story, set in a school playground, tells how a normal Tuesday takes a surreal turn when a tear appears in the sky, causing students and teachers to be sucked into a parallel universe, while their counterparts from that universe descend into ours. As the two groups—referred to as 'Us' and 'Them'—interact, they confront questions of identity, family, and belonging.
